Being in the field on nutrition over the past decade has allowed me to capture people in their most vulnerable moments. After all, eating is one of the most intimate actions we do each day due to the power it withholds. At the foundation, eating is what sustains life. It provides nourishment for organ function which supports the body’s ability to thrive.
Unfortunately, we live in a world where this is often overlooked and underestimated. Typically, the focus in our culture tends to be on weight management…how much weight loss can you promote as fast as possible. Weight management is an important marker when managing health outcomes, but it should not be the sole factor in determining one’s well-being. Imagine how nutrition and food would be appreciated differently if we emphasized more on its’ healing properties?
A balanced nutrition program offers a plethora of benefits! Research continues to push forward and examine the connection of eating patterns and psychological wellbeing. Eating healthy does not mean following the latest fad diet but instead focuses on the quality of the nutrients. The ability to implement and maintain a good quality diet pends on various factors which sometimes can be overwhelming (see figure below). One way this load can be lightened is working with staff at NutriMental Nuggets.

Our mission and vision are to ensure your nutriments are helping you maximize your natural beauty and lifestyle which includes your mental well-being! We do this by getting to know you. This means understanding your family and current medical histories, taking into consideration your family and work schedule, monitoring current life stressors, and giving you space to share thoughts and feelings so connections can be made to how this may lead to certain lifestyle behaviors. Nutritional interventions are based on this along with your food tolerances and preferences. Our unique approach prevents providing just a general list of food “you should eat” and instead establishes an eating pattern on what you WANT to eat which also happens to be beneficial for your lifestyle goals.
